Black Bears Get Road Win, 6-3
|
Fraser Valley center fielder Scott Hoffmann was a significant contributor in his team's 6-3 triumph over the DeKalb Cornhuskers. He was 2-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Fraser Valley. David Pena was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Dusty Mast got the save, his 4th in 4 chances.
Hoffmann had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the second inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Black Bears went on to win.
