Spokane right fielder Shigem Allen was a significant contributor in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Rock River Rats. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Spokane. With the win, the Bulldogs have a record of 75-82.
Allen had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Carlos Torres, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Bulldogs a 8-6 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Allen.
"It feels good to get this one," Allen told the Spokane Bulletin.
