Hawks Rally For Late Win Over Rams
|
The Boise Hawks did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Frisco Rams at Outlander Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Francisco Cohen, who captured player of the game honors. Boise reliever Roberto Delaluz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jim Currie shouldered the loss. Jesús Ordóñez got the save, his 29th in 37 chances.
Boise used the bat of Tal-hun Kug to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hawks ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I really like what we did out there today," Kug said after the game.
The Hawks bumped their record to 81-74 with this latest triumph.
