Lights Rally For Late Win Over Monarchs
|
The Phoenix Lights faced a tough opponent in Marysville pitcher Ryokan Endo, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mitts Fieldhouse by a final score of 2-1. Endo went 5.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. The Lights bumped their record to 80-75 with this latest triumph.
The Lights got a big at-bat from third baseman Matt Pfeifer. For the game, Pfeifer went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 23rd double of the season gave Phoenix a 2-1 lead.
"I really like what we did out there today," Pfeifer said after the game.
