Bullets Bang Out 8-4 Win Versus Pacifica
|
The Biloxi Bullets downed the Pacifica Shamrocks, 8-4, at McCormick Field. The Bullets were led by Hideki Kobayashi, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Doug Durham got the save, his 29th in 35 chances. The Bullets now have a mark of 58-95.
Had Carlos Espinosa not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Espinosa hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Bullets.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Espinosa told the Biloxi Citizen.
