The Field at Richmond was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Topeka Predators and the Cincinnati Snaps.

Getting a good performance from left fielder Roberto Ayala, the Topeka Predators defeated the Cincinnati Snaps, 5-4. Ayala went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Predators. Topeka reliever César Quintana picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Emilio Peres took the loss.

Ayala contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Topeka in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-0, Ayala took a forkball from Emilio Peres and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Predators to leap in front, 4-2.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Ayala. "And not try to do too much."

Topeka has now won 3 in a row.
