The Brooklyn Black Knights picked up a win at Arson Arena, knocking off the Bloomington Blazers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Jan Shirazi played a key role in the triumph. Brooklyn reliever Cong Foong picked up the win to move to 3-1. Paco Berroa suffered the loss. The Black Knights bumped their record to 27-20 with this latest triumph.
This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the ninth, Tony Gómez hit a sacrifice fly. The Black Knights took the lead, 4-3.
Gómez called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
