Hackers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Silicon Valley starter Tomohito Ihara had a strong outing against the Youngstown Tune-Ups at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Silicon Valley occupies second place in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League at 86-63.
The Hackers got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Derek Jeter Jr.. For the game, Jeter Jr. was 1 for 1. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 139th hit of the season gave Silicon Valley a 4-3 lead.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Youngstown manager Robby Tate said following the tough loss.
