Cornhuskers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Sandy Springs, 8-7

The DeKalb Cornhuskers dealt the Sandy Springs Spartans a 8-7 loss at The Coliseum. Omar Cisneros was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 77-72 with this latest triumph.
The Cornhuskers got a big at-bat from second baseman Paul Seibold. For the game, Seibold was 1 for 4 with a walk. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 75th hit of the season gave DeKalb a 8-7 lead.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Cornhuskers manager Eduardo Varerla. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
