Wolverines Continue Skid Thanks to Hicks, Bulldogs
|
The Spokane Bulldogs relied on the hitting of first baseman Harrison Hicks to stop the Wichita Wolverines, 9-6. For the game, Hicks was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Wichita's current losing streak is now 6 games.
Hicks came through for Spokane with no one out in the bottom of the first. With Spokane trailing 1-0, Hicks hit a 2-run single. It was his 138th hit of the season and put the Bulldogs up, 2-1.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Hicks told the Spokane Bulletin.
