Blazers Lose to Black Knights, 5-1
|
The Brooklyn Black Knights got a strong performance from pitcher Xiong Yang, who stymied the Bloomington offense en route to a 5-1 win at Arson Arena. Brooklyn reliever Xiong Yang got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Victor Hernandez was tagged with the loss. The Black Knights bumped their record to 26-20 with this latest triumph.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the second, with the game tied, Nobuhisa Ito was at the plate when Brooklyn scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Black Knights to go in front, 3-1.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Ito. "And not try to do too much."
