Biloxi starter Lourenço Russa put a stranglehold on the Carson City offense. The right-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Bullets to a 4-1 win. Biloxi is now 54-87.

The Bullets got a big at-bat from shortstop Darren Michels. For the game, Michels was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Biloxi a 2-1 lead.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Russa told a Biloxi Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
