Fraser Valley right-hander Eric Sanford pitched his team to victory over the Pacifica Shamrocks at The Stetson Bowl. The final score was 6-0. Fraser Valley now has a 3-game win streak.
Alex Prado had a big run-scoring triple for the Black Bears in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Fraser Valley leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Miguel Torres and stroked the triple to right. It was his 7th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Black Bears ahead, 2-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Pacifica manager Joe Leftwich.
