Vancouver starter Jesús Ramos pitched effectively against the Portland Beavers at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. The right-hander led his team to a 5-4 win. The win was Pat Glass's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Alberto Ramírez took the loss for Portland. The win boosts the Pioneers to 21-26. The loss puts the Beavers at 24-24.

The Pioneers got a big at-bat from catcher Baskoro Pamungkas. For the game, Pamungkas went 1 for 5 with a walk. In the bottom of the 13th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 32nd hit of the season gave Vancouver a 5-4 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Pamungkas. "And not try to do too much."
