Storm Troopers Stymie Frisco, Take 8-1 Win
|
San Antonio pitcher Juan Calderon did his part in helping his team beat the Frisco Rams, 8-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6 innings, Calderon surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. Tagashashi Ueda was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 8 save opportunities.
Jesús Faundez helped out the San Antonio cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a bases-clearing double. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said San Antonio skipper Adrián Carne.
