Bullets Lose, 8-5, at The Studio
|
The Cincinnati Snaps topped the Biloxi Bullets by the score of 8-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Tomoshi Tanaka. Tanaka was 2-4 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Snaps on the day. The winner was Augusto Pacheco, who threw 101 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 6 hits. David Williams, credited with the save, is now 2 for 3 in save opportunities.
Mike Parlato was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Cincinnati. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Chris Burgess. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Parlato.
The 5th-place Snaps lifted their record to 57-84.
