Shamrocks Win at Youngstown, 3-2
|
Pacifica left-hander Yeong-sam Yi pitched his team to victory over the Youngstown Tune-Ups at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. The final score was 3-2. Yi, now 4-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 10, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. The Shamrocks bumped their record to 85-55 with this latest triumph.
The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from right fielder Eigo Matsuo. For the game, Matsuo went 1-4 with a double. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season gave Pacifica a 3-2 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Pacifica manager Joe Leftwich.
