Red Bulls Win at Buzzard's Bay, 7-2
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Riverside Red Bulls and Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats clash at Bloomfield Road.
Riverside Red Bulls starter Hyun-tae Hwan was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 7-2. Hwan got the win, improving to 7-12. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. Hwan allowed 2 earned runs.
Li-xue Liu, who is tied for 9th in the CLL in triples with 5, aided the Riverside cause with a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Hwan said.
The Red Bulls saw their win-loss record go to 64-74. At the same time, the Beetlecats fell to 72-64.
