Tune-Ups Come Back Late, Nip Shamrocks
|
The Youngstown Tune-Ups picked up a win at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum, knocking off the Pacifica Shamrocks, 3-2. Starting pitcher Don Hart was an essential part of his team's success. With the win, the Tune-Ups improved to 62-74.
Danny Lowe was 1 for 4 for Youngstown. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Graham Bennett. It was his 14th RBI of the season.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Youngstown skipper Robby Tate.
