Though he had a great game, Vahe Kordonskaya could not single-handedly produce a win for Carson City. DeKalb won the game, 4-2. Kordonskaya was named the player of the game. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. DeKalb reliever Tai Quian picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jack Thompson took the loss. Manny López was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 16 save opportunities.

DeKalb took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, center fielder Omar Cisneros hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said DeKalb manager Eduardo Varerla.
