Shamrocks Bang Out 8-2 Win Versus Youngstown
|
The rain at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum did not keep Pacifica and Youngstown from finishing their game.
Benefiting from Dave Bayliss's productive game, the Pacifica Shamrocks downed the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 8-2. Bayliss was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Shamrocks. Jose Laracuente notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from center fielder Matt Rank. For the game, Rank was 2-5 with a triple and a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 18th double of the season gave Pacifica a 3-1 lead.
"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Rank.
Pacifica is now 84-54, 10 games up in the Cory Lidle League Gene Mauch Division.
