The Beetlecats grabbed a win, 3-2, at Hellcats Park, overcoming a fine effort from Jacksonville pitcher Shoichi Ikeda. Ikeda went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Beetlecats bumped their record to 71-62 with this latest triumph.
The Beetlecats got a big at-bat from left fielder Raúl Molina. For the game, Molina was 1-2 with a home run. In the top of the tenth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Buzzard's Bay a 3-2 lead.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Molina.
