The DeKalb Cornhuskers topped the Madison Beehive, 5-2, with shortstop Kyle McWilliams playing a big role. McWilliams was 1 for 1 with 3 walks for the Cornhuskers in the win. DeKalb reliever Tai Quian picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Juan Hurtado absorbed the loss. DeKalb currently is in 4th place in the Roy Halladay League Bruce Bochy Division at 67-69.

The Cornhuskers got a big at-bat from third baseman Francis Barlow. For the game, Barlow was 1 for 5 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave DeKalb a 3-1 lead.
