Mustangs Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus So Cal
|
Zeus Mayhem did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the So Cal Republic from losing, 6-2, to the Mile High Mustangs at McNichols Stadium. Mayhem was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. James Jostle got the win, improving to 2-3. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Mile High occupies 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division at 22-25.
Gerard Wych, who is tied for 9th in the TML with a .562 slugging percentage, aided the Mile High cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman went 1-1 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Wych.
