Victory Pushes Hackers Record to 76-56
|
Silicon Valley right-hander António Domínguez pitched his team to victory over the Carson City Mustang at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The final score was 7-4. Domínguez picked up the win for Silicon Valley, going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-5. Quiang Tu earned his 43rd save in 45 chances.
The Hackers got a big at-bat from first baseman John Farley. For the game, Farley was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Silicon Valley a 6-2 lead.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Domínguez.
