Tune-Ups Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Cincinnati
|
Conditions were not ideal but Youngstown and Cincinnati were able to put their game in the books.
Benefiting from Danny Lowe's productive game, the Youngstown Tune-Ups downed the Cincinnati Snaps, 8-5. Lowe went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Tune-Ups. Jeremiah Horne picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Bob Torley was tagged with the loss. Keisaburo Kanada was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
Lowe had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from Bob Torley, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Tune-Ups a 5-4 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Lowe.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Lowe said after the game.
With the win, the Tune-Ups have a record of 59-71.
