Victory Pushes Tornadoes Record to 23-22
|
Kansas City and Rubber City duked it out at Debris Field and the Tornadoes came out victorious.
Kansas City starter Juan Lucero pitched effectively against the Rubber City Rhinos at Debris Field. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Lucero, now 3-3, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing no earned runs.
Ken Bush aided the Kansas City cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Bush. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Rubber City has now lost 5 straight.
