Fans who gathered at Bloomfield Road saw a good contest between the Wichita Wolverines and Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats.

Wichita left-hander Emílio Buenvenida made an effective start against the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats at Bloomfield Road, leading his team to a 4-2 win. In 8 innings, Buenvenida surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs.

Bob Wright, who is tied for 3rd in the RHL in runs scored with 82, aided the Wichita cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Buenvenida said after the game.

The first-place Wolverines, at 82-49, now lead their division by 5˝ games.
