Rams Win, Tisdale scores 4 runs
|
Benefiting from Troy Tisdale's productive game, the Frisco Rams downed the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 8-5. Tisdale was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for the Rams. Ed Gratton picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-2. Gabriel Pérez was tagged with the loss. Jeff Van Wormer, credited with the save, is now 7 for 8 in save opportunities.
Tisdale contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Frisco in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Tisdale took a fastball from Oscar Saucedo and stroked the home run to left. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Rams to leap in front, 5-4.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Tisdale said after the game.
The Rams bumped their record to 76-55 with this latest triumph.
