Peres Dominant in Cincinnati Win
|
The Cincinnati Snaps did just enough to secure a 1-0 victory over the Riverside Red Bulls at The Studio. Nobody did more than pitcher Emilio Peres, who captured player of the game honors. David Williams, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. Cincinnati is 5th in the Roy Halladay League Jim Leyland Division with a record of 55-76.
Peres, a native of Nandaime, Nicaragua, was dealing all game. He kept Riverside hitters off-balance, while giving the Snaps 7 quality innings. Peres threw 103 pitches, allowing 1 hit and striking out 5.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Peres.
