Hackers Get Close Win Over Predators
|
Silicon Valley right fielder Joe Dolinger was a significant contributor in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Topeka Predators. He went 1-2 with a double and 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley reliever Terry Yarrigle picked up the win, upping his record to 6-6. Oscar Ruiz took the loss. The Hackers bumped their record to 74-55 with this latest triumph.
Dolinger had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a 0-2 fastball from Oscar Ruiz, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Hackers a 8-6 lead. It was the 18th double of the year for Dolinger.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Dolinger said.
