The Wichita Wolverines got a stellar effort from pitcher Jay Retter, helping Wichita score a 4-2 win over the visiting Jacksonville Hellcats. Shu-de Tian was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 15 save opportunities. Wichita goes to 80-48. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.

Kyung-hwan Jun went 1 for 3 with 2 walks for Wichita. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Len Adkins. It was his 4th walk of the season.

After the game, Wichita manager Clement Snow applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
