Fans who gathered at The Sand Dune saw a good contest between the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats and Biloxi Bullets.

The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats got a stellar performance from pitcher Takeo Takano, who handcuffed the Biloxi offense en route to a 2-1 win at The Sand Dune. The winning pitcher was Takano, now 9-6. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5.

Mitsunori Nauert, who is tied for 10th in the CLL in bases on balls with 65, chipped in for Buzzard's Bay with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

The Beetlecats bumped their record to 65-58 with this latest triumph.
