The Rams had to overcome a good performance from Silicon Valley pitcher Tim Carson to claim a 4-3 win at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Carson went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Jeff Van Wormer got the save, his 5th in 5 chances. The first-place Rams have a one-game lead in their division.

Dylan Williams hit a 2-run triple off Guo-xiu Du in the top of the eighth, which put the Rams in front, 4-2. Williams had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
