Predators Roll to 8-2 Win Over Mustang
Topeka and Carson City met at Cowboys Stadium in front of a lively crowd.

The Topeka Predators topped the Carson City Mustang, 8-2, in Roy Halladay League action at Cowboys Stadium. The player of the game was Topeka pitcher and Primero de Enero, Cuba native Jorge Arellano. Arellano, now 5-7, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run.

Allan Wagner aided the Topeka cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Nobuharu Chikafuji.

Topeka currently is in 4th place in the Roy Halladay League Jim Leyland Division at 56-68.
