Victory Pushes Marauders Record to 25-19
|
Cabo San Lucas got a terrific game from catcher Dae-ki Yi. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Maple, 9-4. Yi was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Maple reliever Carlos Alonzo picked up the win to move to 2-1. Ashley Heath suffered the loss. Maple has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
Andreas Kubel, who is tied for 4th in the TML in bases on balls with 29, aided the Maple cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"It feels good to get this one," Kubel told the Maple Daily News.
