Cornhuskers Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Bulldogs
The DeKalb Cornhuskers got a strong performance from pitcher Seamus Floyd, who stymied the Spokane offense en route to a 5-1 win at The Corn Crib. Floyd, the winner, moves to 4-10. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. Manny López notched his 11th save in 11 chances.

The Cornhuskers got a big at-bat from right fielder Matt McDade. For the game, McDade went 1-3 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave DeKalb a 2-1 lead.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Floyd told the DeKalb Daily.

The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 61-61 with this latest triumph.
