Phoenix left fielder Matt Pfeifer was sensational. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Biloxi beat the Lights, 9-6. Pfeifer was named the player of the game despite the loss. Biloxi is now 43-76.

This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the tenth, Tim Mathews hit a sacrifice fly. The Bullets took the lead, 6-5.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Mathews told the Biloxi Citizen.
