Texans Win in Glorious Fashion
The Dallas Texans did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Portland Beavers at Metroplex Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Tony López, who captured player of the game honors. Dallas reliever Adrien Clément picked up the win to move to 3-1. Olivier Martin suffered the loss. The Texans bumped their record to 26-21 with this latest triumph.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Dallas left fielder Tsunayoshi Ito, facing Olivier Martin, had a run-scoring strikeout. It gave the Texans the 4-3 win.

"This place was jumping at the end," Ito said.
