Hackers Rally For Late Win Over Hellcats
|
Hellcats Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Silicon Valley Hackers and the Jacksonville Hellcats.
The Silicon Valley Hackers got a strong performance from pitcher Tim Carson, who stymied the Jacksonville offense en route to a 3-2 win at Hellcats Park. Quiang Tu notched his 40th save in 42 chances.
The Hackers got a big at-bat from designated hitter John Berdahl. For the game, Berdahl went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 61st hit of the season gave Silicon Valley a 3-2 lead.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Carson said.
The Hackers bumped their record to 71-49 with this latest triumph.
