Bulldogs Fall to Hardwick, Black Bears
|
Fraser Valley third baseman John Hardwick played a vital role in his team's 10-6 triumph over Spokane. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Fraser Valley. David Pena got the win, improving to 6-6. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. The Black Bears bumped their record to 67-50 with this latest triumph.
Hardwick had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Black Bears went on to win.
Hardwick told a Fraser Valley Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
