Monarchs Beat Visiting Beetlecats, 5-1

The Marysville Monarchs got a stellar performance from pitcher Bill Almy, who handcuffed the Buzzard's Bay offense en route to a 5-1 win at Mitts Fieldhouse. Brian Reddin got the save, his 18th in 21 chances. The Monarchs saw their record improve to 52-64.
The Monarchs picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Marysville manager Colin St. John. "Our pregame was pretty good."
