Ine Helps Marauders Run Win Streak to 6
|
The Maple Marauders topped the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 5-2, at Field de Los Layendas. Maple first baseman Kojuro Ine earned player of the game honors. He banged out 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. The winner was Maple reliever Carlos Alonzo, now 1-1. The loser was Masazumi Ohayashi. Hariz Sahir earned the save for Maple, his 3rd of the year.
Anthony Cadenhead hit a run-scoring triple off Masazumi Ohayashi in the top of the third, which put the Marauders in front, 2-1. Cadenhead had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Cadenhead.
Maple has now won 6 in a row.
