Bombers Win in 14
The Bloomington Blazers got a superb performance from pitcher Pedro Vazquez, but the South Carolina Bombers still won the game, 4-3. Vazquez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The winner was South Carolina reliever John Christensen, now 4-0. The loser was Greg Rojas. The Bombers, at 25-19, lead by one game in their division.

The Bombers got a big at-bat from center fielder Rafael Campos. For the game, Campos was 1 for 6 with a home run. In the top of the 14th, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave South Carolina a 4-3 lead.

"Both teams played hard," said South Carolina manager Randy Huggett.
