Tune-Ups Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
The Tune-Ups had to overcome a fine performance from Jacksonville pitcher Juan Ortiz to grab a 3-1 win at Hellcats Park. Ortiz allowed 1 earned run over 8 innings. Rudy Cortez notched his 5th save in 7 chances. The last-place Hellcats have lost 7 consecutive games.
Danny Lowe hit a 2-run double off Javier Sánchez in the top of the tenth, which put the Tune-Ups in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Lowe had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
