The first-place Silicon Valley Hackers welcomed Riverside to San Jose Municipal Stadium.

Silicon Valley Hackers starter Terry Yarrigle was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Riverside Red Bulls, 5-2. Quiang Tu was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 36 of 38 save opportunities.

In his 100-pitch effort, Yarrigle allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 7.1 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 10.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Silicon Valley skipper Bob Miller.

The Hackers go to 66-45, putting them first in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League.
