The Spokane Bulldogs went down to defeat to José López and his Rock River teammates. The final score was 5-1 in favor of the Rats. López went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 7-2. Rock River now sits in first place in the Roy Halladay League Bruce Bochy Division at 65-47.
Rock River third baseman Luis Alvarez contributed to the cause with a double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Alvarez scored once.
"I thought we played a nice game," López told the Rock River Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
