Gero Goes Wild, But Osos Win
Youngstown third baseman John Gero had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 12-9, to Ruidoso at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Gero hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. The Osos bumped their record to 61-53 with this latest triumph.

The Osos got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Jim Bennett. For the game, Bennett went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Ruidoso a 9-8 lead.
