The Sandy Springs Spartans defeated the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 12-5, in Roy Halladay League action at The Clone Army, with Sandy Springs left fielder Marc Dale named player of the game. Tony Mejía got credit for the win, improving to 5-0. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. The Spartans bumped their record to 55-54 with this latest triumph.

Victor Davila was a key contributor to the win for the Spartans. In the top of the second with two out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a double to left. He went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Dale. "And not try to do too much."
