The Frisco Rams faced a tough opponent in Ruidoso pitcher Jose Fernandez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Bear Cave by a final score of 1-0. Fernandez went 6.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Frisco reliever Jeff Van Wormer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jose Gonzalez took the loss. The Osos have now dropped 5 straight.

The Rams got a big at-bat from second baseman Lyle Wolochow. For the game, Wolochow went 1-1 with a home run. In the top of the tenth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Frisco a 1-0 lead.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Will Bartlett, the Frisco manager.
